Our Vineyard

The Tumbarumba Wines Escape Vineyard is set in a stunning location in the Mannus Valley between Jingellic road and Manderoo Creek. Vines run in a North West/South East direction which is designed to capture optimum sunlight during the ripening period. Row spacing’s are 3.3 mm which is considerably wider than most vineyards and allows far greater air and light movement which encourages a more even ripening of fruit and gives an overall healthier environment. Vines are planted at 1.8mm spacing’s and the trellis system is Vertical Shoot positioning. Vines are pruned to six spurs and 2 buds on each cordon to produce a crop of approximately 12 tonne per hectare. Soil type is grey to red granite over clay.
